Because a splendid 'co-incidence' lead to my being a regular visitor in Tennessee ...and to this moment in time ....I give credit for much of the happiness in my life to ONE VERY SPECIAL FRIEND.......and to: First Presbyterian Church (USA) of Elizabethton, TN. ....and Rev. John Shuck.
My BLOG is open to everyone and anyone....and is not limited by my lifelong Presbyterian faith ...or by the four decades during which I did not attend regular church services. (My return to the church of my birth has been ...simply ...divine.)
I hope that my web log IS reflective of my love of all people ...and animals and clean air and clean water ...and my deep and abiding belief that GOD's LOVE is both LOVING & INCLUSIVE.

I hold a B.A. in History ....from UCF....with an emphasis on American Culture. (Friends say I should try out for 'Jeopardy'.) In truth ....I have found that 'Trivia is not Trivial'....as it is the knowledge of a little about a lot of subjects that makes a Liberal Arts education come ALIVE.
I have lived in the mountains of Western North Carolina for 20 years ....and have spent 40 years as a music fan and student . Since moving to N.C. ...my lifelong 'Rock 'n Roll' heart has turned to and tuned into the poetry and positive force that is COUNTRY MUSIC.
I have gone from Jimmy Buffett to Alan Jackson....and from Elton John to Tim McGraw ....and from 'Judy, Joni & Janis' to 'Dolly, Shania & Faith'.
It is with great pleasure that I am 'beginning' this BLOG on the very day that ...The Eagles ...will debut their NEW CD on the CMA Awards...on national television from Nashville ...which owes much of it's conscience and modern style to the inspiration of ....'America's Best Rock 'n Roll Band'.
